Hello 4-H Families,

November brings beautiful fall colors and cooler weather. Daylight savings time ends on November 4, so be sure to turn your clocks back! This month also brings Election Day, Veterans Day, The Great American Smoke Out, and Thanksgiving.

Sussex 4-H was very busy in October with the following events:

  • Window Displays – 11 Clubs participated in this annual contest. Check out the winners and photos in this newsletter!
  • Archery Shoots
  • Paper Clover Fundraiser – 4-H members, friends, and families were encouraged to participate
  • Pumpkin Contest/Haunted Trail – 127 4-H’ers and 4 adults decorated pumpkins and over 250 people attended the event
  • Fall Retreat – 33 campers and 10 counselors enjoyed games, a campfire, smores, crafts, and more!

November 4-H events include a Holiday Card Party for Heroes on Friday, November 16 at 6:30 pm, International Foods and the Talent Show will take place on Saturday, November 17 at 6:00 pm.  Delaware 4-H will send a delegation of teens to Atlanta, GA to participate in National Club Congress from November 23-November 27. The Sussex delegate is Kyle Morris.

Please be sure to read all the posts in our newsletter/blog and be sure to mark your calendars with all of the exciting 4-H activities!

I hope you enjoy Thanksgiving with your family and loved ones. Take a few moments to think of all your blessings. We have so much to be thankful for!

Yours in 4-H,
