This is the time of year when we reflect on how thankful and appreciative we are. We also need to keep in mind those less fortunate and the holidays are a great time to help those in need. Delaware 4-H is challenging all clubs to give back to their community, whether it is an individual, family or local organization. Let’s show our love for our community! Below are a few places to consider this holiday season.

Holiday Giving:You may not know a single person who will spend their holidays alone this year unable to provide a meal for themselves. Sadly, there are many homebound seniors who will be doing just that. Meals On Wheels programs not only provide these seniors with a hot meal, but also a moment of joy on what may have been a lonely day. With your help, together we can make someone’s holiday warmer and brighter.

Operation Gratitude
WHO WE SERVE
We send Care Packages filled with entertainment, hygiene, and handmade items, non-perishable snacks, and personal letters of appreciation to U.S. Troops, First Responders, Veterans, Military Families, and Wounded Heroes & their Care Givers.
Ways to help:
- Collection Drive: Host a donation drive to collect items for our Wish List to fill Care Packages.
- Care Kits: Organize a local event to assemble Care Kits for our recipients.
- Write letters to send to the Troops, First Responders, and Veterans.
- Make paracord bracelets.
- Cents for Service-collect dollars and cents to help ship packages around the world.
