Thanks to renewed funding by ConAgra Corporation 4-H Food Smart Families programming will be coming back Delaware for 2015 and 2016.  This youth adult partnership will offer teens (13-18 year olds) an opportunity to work with adults throughout the state bringing nutrition education, physical activity, food preparation, and savvy shopping skills to 8-12 year olds.  Teen trainers will be paid $6.50 per child for teaching and adults will receive a stipend of $300.00 for a series of 10 hours of lessons. Those interested need to have day time availability in the summer and their own transportation.

ConAgra is requiring that teens and adults who teach the children receive Youth Adult Partnership and Youth Development training in addition to the Nutrition Curriculum training.  In order to participate in the 2015 program, you will need to attend 3 trainings: Youth Adult Partnership, Youth Development and Nutrition Curriculum training.  Teens and adults will be paid for this training upon the completion of their first 10 hour nutrition lesson series in the community.  Lunch will be provided at the all-day trainings. Below is the schedule for the training.  You must register for one from each column.
