Bike Club News
Mike Love and the Pedal Pushers Club invite you to join them for a Bike Ride on Sunday, September 21 for a bike ride along the Michael Castle Trail in New Castle County. We’ll meet in Milford at 1pm and head to St. George’s to hit the trail along the C & D Canal. Please call Mike Love at 302-519-6685 or email him at mlove@udel.edu by Friday, September 19th if you are planning to join us. Helmets required. Bikes and transportation may be provided.
Michael Castle Trail
The 6.1-mile paved shared-use recreational trail provides visitors with a spectacular view of the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. Phase 1 of the trail runs along the north side of the canal from the Summit North Marina to the base of the Branch Canal near Delaware City. The future Phase 2 will extend the trail from Summit North Marina to the state line and continue the trail along the Branch Canal into Delaware City. The completed trail will connect Chesapeake City, Maryland with Delaware City. Visitors can access the trail at Biddle Point or St. Georges
Robotics Club News
The Sussex 4-H Robotics Club is a specialty club that meets the 4th Friday of each month from 6 pm – 8pm at the REC. All 4-H members are welcome to attend. This year, they plan to have 3 sections:
- Lego Robotics
- Erector sets.
- Mind Storm Robots – groups will build robots and compete against each other by programming and successfully making the robots work.
