sunsetHello 4-H Family,

November brings beautiful fall colors and cooler weather. Daylight savings time ends on November 3, so be sure to turn your clocks back! This month also brings Veterans Day, The Great American Smoke Out, and Thanksgiving.

Sussex 4-H was very busy in October with the following events:
• Fall into 4-H – Sussex teens and Leaders showcased 4-H at the Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club
• Window Displays – 7 Clubs participated in this annual contest
• Paper Clover Fundraiser – Jr. Council members helped promote 4-H at Tractor Supply in Seaford
• Pumpkin Contest/Haunted Trail – Ninety 4-H’ers decorated pumpkins and over 175 attended the event
• Fall Retreat – 26 campers and 10 counselors enjoyed games, a campfire, smores, crafts, and more!

November 4-H events include Officer Training on November 4 from 6:00-7:00 pm. An Exchange Trip Interest Meeting will be on Tuesday, November 5 at 6:30 pm.  The Four Little Clovers Dinner Theater will take place on Saturday, November 16 at 6:00 pm. Delaware 4-H will send a delegation of ten teens to Atlanta, GA to participate in National Club Congress from November 29-December 3. Sussex delegates are: Holly Anderson, Shannon Bradley, Andy Duvall, Jonah Vincent, and Dustin Waller.

Please be sure to read all the posts on the Blog and be sure to mark your calendars with all of the exciting 4-H activities!

I hope you enjoy Thanksgiving with your family and loved ones. Take a few moments to think of all your blessings. We have much to be thankful for!  Looking forward to seeing you at the next 4-H event!
