Happy May! During this month, many holidays will be celebrated: May Day, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, and Memorial Day. Many 4-H events and activities are also planned: Younger Member Weekend, Animal Judging Contests, Quarter Auction, Livestock Tagging, Make-Up Skill-a-Thon Contests and more!
Congratulations to the DE 4-H LifeSmarts Team who placed in a multi-way tie of 6th place out of 46 teams at the National Event in Chicago last month! Members included: Sedona Ashman, Caydance Means, Embrey Means, Cassidy White, and Austin Yourek. They were coached by Rebecca and Keith Johnson. This team studied and worked hard, and we are so proud of their accomplishments!
Thank you to the clubs who submitted a club report this month, please keep them coming! Be sure to submit your club news to Kaleb or myself by the 25th of each month. Include a fun activity, projects completed, and photos of your club in actions. We love to see and share what each club is doing virtually or in person!
Hopefully the sunshine and warmer temperatures will decide to stick around! I encourage everyone to go outside and enjoy healthy activities such as biking, walking, hiking, or just having a picnic in your backyard or a local park. Take time out of your schedules to spend time with the ones you love most!
