The Public Speaking Contest gives 4-H’ers the opportunity to write and speak about a subject of interest. It can be about a 4-H project, hobby, event, community, family or trip. Remember a speech has three parts – an introduction, body, and conclusion! Practice your speech to gain confidence and to keep within your time limit. The contest is open to 4-H’ers 5-19 uears of age. Each age division is judged separately. **NEW Division – Extemporaneous Speaking (for members ages 14-19)**
This year’s contest is on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Carvel Research and Education Center. Entries are due to the county office by Monday, January 8, 2024.
