Twenty-nine eager 4-H members competed in the 2023 Sussex County 4-H Public Speaking Contest on Saturday, January 28 at the 4-H Office. Judges were impressed with the great variety of topics presented and how well each member spoke. Participants are listed below.
Top Award Winners included:
Beginner I (8-9 year old) Division: Julia Freebery, Hollymount, “All About Tsunamis”
Beginner II (10-11 year old): Daniel Wisniewski, Sunset Branch, “Are Naps Actually Good for Us?”
Junior Division (12-13 year old): Ella Soni, Hollymount, “Music on the Brain”
Senior Division (14-19 year old): Carter Bradley, Bridgeville Mustangs, “Coming to a Road Near You”
