Agent Letter: May 2022

Dear 4-H Families,

Happy May! During this month, many holidays will be celebrated:  May Day, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, and Memorial Day.  Many 4-H events and activities are also planned:  Legislative Day, Livestock Tagging, Sussex 4-H Links Spring Fair, Judging Contests and more!

Congratulations to all members who took part in the County Demonstration Contest as well as the Foods, Photography and Wood Science Judging.  Results from these events are posted in this newsletter.  We brought back our annual Younger Member Weekend at Cape Henlopen State Park.  The theme was Welcome to the Jungle and everyone seemed to have a great time just being together and taking part in traditional 4-H activities!

Thank you to the clubs who submitted a club report this month, please keep them coming!  Be sure to submit your club news to Tammy or myself by the 25th of each month.  Include a fun activity, projects completed, and photos of your club in actions.  We love to see and share what each club is doing virtually or in person!

Hopefully the sunshine and warmer temperatures will decide to stick around!  I encourage everyone to go outside and enjoy healthy activities such as biking, walking, hiking, or just having a picnic in your backyard or a local park.  Take time out of your schedules to spend with the ones you love most!

Yours in 4-H,
Jill Jackson
