Club News: April 2020

Harbor Lights – Zoe Cunningham, Reporter
The Harbor Lights March meeting was on March 9, 2020. To begin, we played a little soccer to get all of our energy out before the meeting and also because our club has taken on the challenge of living a little healthier this year. Every time we meet, we do a physical activity that is beneficial exercise and have a healthy snack after our meeting. During the meeting, our club made plans to participate in lots of events like the Demonstration Contest, Legislative Day and Junior Leader weekend. Once old and new business was discussed, the meeting was adjourned and the next was scheduled. We proceeded to have a healthy snack of vegetables, fruits and water. It was a great meeting and we look forward to our next.

On February 26, 2020, Madison Johnson hosted an event to help sew blankets for Project Linus. Project Linus is a non-profit organization that helps to give children in need blankets that are homemade from people of all aspects of life. In total, about 16 people showed up. It was a workshop for those that did not know how to sew ,and during the event everyone who attended was able to sew their own blankets with materials that were graciously provided by Mrs. Rebecca Johnson. Not only did everyone who attended have a great time, but they also did a great deed to the community.
