Dear 4-H Families,
What a warm and rainy February we had! I know many will agree that they are ready for spring and warmer temperatures. Daylight savings time begins on Sunday, March 8. Don’t forget to turn your clocks ahead one hour!
THANK YOU is not enough to say for all the support that was felt at our 5th Annual Spaghetti Dinner and Auction! From the donors and guests to the volunteers who helped make this event a success! We appreciate each one of you! As you may have known, Touch of Italy in Lewes donated all of the pasta, and sauce for our event. We also had many other businesses and family donors who helped make this event another great success!
The 4-H world is gearing up with many activities and events. Sunday, March 8, is the first Archery Shoot for the spring. Be sure to sign up to participate in this event.4-H members will be busy on Saturday, March 14, at the State 4-H Horse Bowl. The Photography and Wood Science Judging Contests have been scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 and the Demonstration Contest will be held on March 18 and 19. The State 4-H Indoor Archery Championship will be held on March 21. Jr. Leader Weekend will take place March 27-29.
Congratulations to our Sussex Salute to Excellence Winners. Kathy DiSabatino, Lord Baltimore Helping Hands Club Leader, received the Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award. Holly Anderson, Sussex Dairy Club Leader, received the Volunteer of the Year Award. Thank you, ladies for all of your help and hard work!
A Friendly Reminder – Please be sure to submit your club news by the 25th of each month. Include a fun activity, projects completed, and photos of your club in actions. We love to see and share what each club is doing!
Looking forward to seeing you at the next 4-H event!
