Agent Letter: December 2019/January 2020

Dear 4-H Families,

Happy Holidays!  December is a month to celebrate the spirit of community and spend extra time with our loved ones.  Please be sure to read all the posts in the newsletter and be sure to mark your calendars with all of the exciting 4-H activities!

On November 23, over 150 4-H members and families attended the 4 Little Clovers Dinner Theatre at North Georgetown Elementary.  Members prepared delicious dishes from around the world and shared their many talents.  Be sure to read the full overview in this newsletter!

During November and December, many clubs participate in holiday parades and community service activities.  Thank you to all the members who attended the “Boxing Party” for the Operation Shoebox donations and to the families who attended our annual Card Party for Heroes event!

Congratulations to our own Kaleb Scott who is now the Kent County 4-H Afterschool Director.  Kaleb has been a wonderful asset to the Sussex and Delaware 4-H program for many years.  He has been an awesome Junior Council Advisor and has gone above and beyond his duties as the Sussex 4-H Staff Assistant.  We wish him the best with his new position and look forward to working with him in the future!

Upcoming events include:  Santa Calls, State Skating Party, Winter Fun Day and Public Speaking Contest!

I hope you enjoy this holiday season with your loved ones.  As we look forward to the New Year 2020, set your sights high and try new things.  There are sure to be many wonderful opportunities to explore!

Yours in 4-H,
