LEAD 360 Community Service Awards

Delaware 4-H members are involved in a variety of community service activities.  How could your community service project be replicated across Delaware in 2019? LEAD360 starts with a contest for young people to submit their service projects and big ideas to solve problems they are most passionate about. We are looking to hear about all community service in the state of Delaware- no project is too big or too small.

All youth who submit their service projects will be recognized by a local mayor in a ceremony in the Spring of 2018. Seven finalists will be chosen and invited to the Jefferson Awards Delaware Salute to Service in April 2019 where the winner will receive a Jefferson Award and then have their project activated statewide in 2019! Individuals or groups (e.g. 4-H clubs) can submit one or more projects.

Which service projects are most likely to be activated statewide?

  • Simple: easy to do
  • Appealing to many: anyone would want to do it
  • Tangible and measurable: easy to track
  • Eligibility: community service project from 2/1/18-1/31/19 by individuals or groups ages 5-25
