Hello everyone, hope you are having a great day. During our meeting this month we did a craft and went over some important dates. First off there is an archery contest on the 19th during the Links Spring Fair. At the fair you can drop off some of your projects for the State Fair and get feedback on them. The fair will be from 10am to 4pm. Contact Tammy to donate to the Hope for Haiti soap drive. The State Fair registration is online now. They need volunteers for the following at the State Fair: clean up and set up July 9th, exhibit check in(puts everything in its place) July 16th, Judges clerks July 17th, display items July 18th and last disassemble everything July 29th. The State Fair will be from the 19th through the 28th. We will be riding the Sussex 4-H float on Friday, July 20th. Our end of the year 4-H picnic will be held on June 3rd at the Trap Pond Nature Center at 2pm. Bring 5 dollars to the picnic. Last but not least, you can reegister to participate in the Dover mile and Colonial 5k on June 5th at 6pm. Our craft for the meeting was a wooden birdhouse. Hope everyone has a great summer!

After an energetic and exciting session of singing and dancing, we began our business meeting. It began with announcing the winners of various past contests. Congratulations to everybody that won! We talked about old business, like the Spaghetti Dinner, and new business, like the upcoming 4-H Links Spring Fair. The Spring Fair sounds like so much fun. I can’t wait to hear all about it. Once our business meeting concluded, we made our own tiles! We used markers and rubbing alcohol to make beautiful and colorful tiles! First, we drew a design on the tile. With a few sprays of rubbing alcohol, that simple design turned into a beautiful swirled pattern! I will definitely be trying this craft again and experimenting with different colors and patterns. This meeting certainly brought out our creative energy!

We discussed new business such as State Fair entries for this year, we also talked about the State Fair float. Everyone is excited for the Fair and for summer! Our next meeting is on June 13.

To begin the night our exploring 4-H group learned about the meaning of H (head) in 4-H and then played a game of memory with words associated with 4-H.
Our meeting started at 7:30pm. The Secretary and Treasurer reports were read and then all members learned the skunk song. We learned about how to prevent tick bites and playground safety in the safety reports. Clearly, we learn a lot at our meetings! Old and new business were discussed. After the meeting we played an intense game of Ships and Sailors. Refreshments this month were bagel pizzas with fruit salsa and cream cheese and Gogurt.
While we were having our meeting, our Cloverbuds learned about rockets and drones. Then they made a rocket. Alyssa’s went the furthest and the they made a rocket to eat. I think everyone had a great time.
