Wow! What a time we had at Georgetown Day Camp. With the theme this year being ‘A Journey Into Space’, the campers sure did have a week full of fun and exciting activities that were—dare I say it—out of this world! Campers got to become real space explorers with fun outer space crafts, delicious space snacks, fun and tiring outdoor recreation class as well as a dance class where they learned new dances. A special thanks goes out to the 2016 Delaware Dairy Princess, Spring Vasey, the Delaware AeroSpace Education Foundation, Jackie and Rebecca Arpie, and the Delaware State Fire School for putting on amazing assemblies throughout the week. Pictures from the week can be found on the Delaware 4-H Facebook page as well as the Delaware 4-H Flickr! I want to give a personal thank you to the following people who, without their hard work and dedication, could not have had such a success day camp.
Jill Jackson Matthew Rieley
Tiffany Gravenor Miguel “JR” Rodriguez
Tammy Schirmer Taylor Messick
Colleen Anderson Meredith Carey
Shawn Mitchell Kyle Morris
Jarrett Williams Matison Smith
Alyssa Thawley Jenna Anger
Rebecca Arpie Madison Rice
Zachary Adams Daniel Tull
Brittany Carpenter Cody Coleman
It has been a pleasure working with these people over the past couple of months to create and implement such an amazing camp the campers—and parents—love so much.
Yours in 4-H,
Kaleb Scott
2016 Georgetown Day Camp Director
