Clover Knights 4-H ClubClover Knights – Autumn Lenhart, Reporter
Happy Spring everyone! Although the first day of spring saw snow we can tell springtime is near because we are starting to see horticulture and wildlife everywhere! At our March meeting we discussed upcoming events. We learned about planting and plated some seeds to start our own garden. We enjoyed dirt cups with gummie worms for a snack. Congratulations to all those who participated in Favorite Foods. We are especially proud of Logan Layfield, honorable mention Junior Appetizer, Soup, or Hors D’oeuvres; Brooke Elliott, winner Beginner Meat and Main Dish; Wyatt Warner, honorable mention Beginner Cookie, Cupcake, Candy and Ashlynn Elliott and Autumn Lenhart ribbon winners and our Cloverbud, Waylon Warner. We had two of our Junior Leaders, Rebecca Lenhart and Madison Rice, attend the Jr Leader Weekend at Camp Pecometh where they planned Younger Member Weekend and learned leadership skills. I have been told that they have a great weekend planned so don’t forget to sign up by April 4th.

Our next meeting will be on April 12th at 6pm. We will be learning more about horticulture and wildlife. Don’t forget your chocolate for our themed basket Let Mr. Bo know if you need more tickets to sell for the spaghetti dinner on Saturday April 16th. Happy Easter!

Our meeting started with the American pledge and 4-H pledge.  Our club had big success at the Favorite Foods and judging contests.  Congratulations to all the winners.  We also had a lot of contestants at the demonstration contest.  It was a lot of fun. We discussed all the upcoming events.  The year is starting to get very busy, but we know there will be a lot of fun and work to have.  Everyone seems to be getting excited about the Younger Member weekend.  Next we discussed all the judging opportunities.  Looking forward to all the exciting events.  Hope to see a lot of my fellow 4-hers soon.  I would like to wish everyone a wonderful and safe Easter Day.  Take time to enjoy the many friends and family you have. Thank you.
