Sussex 4-H Exchange TripFemale teen participant needed!

exchangetripWe have an opening available for one Sussex 4-H female over 14 years old to attend this event. Sussex County 4-H Exchange Trip members will be traveling to Clark County, Wisconsin June 30-July 5.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our youth to meet other 4-H teens and learn about another state.  The youth will each be housed with a host teen and their family.  Each day the group will travel to different locations to see what Wisconsin has to offer.

Melissa Mitchell and Gina Anger will be the DE 4-H chaperones for this trip.  The Exchange Trip groups holds monthly meetings and will have a few fundraisers in the spring.  If your teen is interested in attending, please let Jill Jackson know ASAP!  Thanks for your help!

4-H Leaders – It’s that time of year again to start thinking about county judging contests.  Clyde Mellin, county wood science leader, would like to offer Wood Science Judging Training at the club level.  If your club is interested in having Mr. Mellin attend one of your meetings, please contact him at: woodworkinc@comcast.net.  If two clubs are in close proximity and would like to provide the training at the same time, that would be greatly appreciated!  The Wood Science Judging Contest will take place on Wednesday, March 9, so please contact Mr. Mellin as soon as possible.  He is a wonderful resource!

Judging Training packets for all competitions can be found at the following link: http://extension.udel.edu/4h/projects-activities-for-members/4-h-competitions/
