Dear Sussex 4-H Family,
Fall has finally arrived and brought many 4-H activities! October 4-H Events include: Sussex 4-H Achievement Event, National 4-H Week, Window Display Contest, National 4-H Youth Science Day, Pumpkin Contest & Haunted Trail, Fall Retreat and an Archery Shoot.
Please be sure to read all the posts in the newsletter and be sure to mark your calendars with all of the exciting 4-H activities!
Leaders – Please be sure to forward all emails from the 4-H Office to your club members. With the 4-H year just starting, we do not have all contact information and do not want any members missing out on opportunities!
As many of you are aware, we have had to postpone our Achievement Event to Sunday, October 11 at 2:00 pm due to the expected rain and winds. We know this may cause a conflict for some families, but also want to keep everyone’s safety first!
Thank you to all of our 4-H families (old and new) for the positive feedback on the 4-H Online Registration process. Everyone has commented on how quick, easy, and efficient the system is. If you have not registered yet, please be sure to do so ASAP!
Fall is a time to reflect on the past and look forward to the future! I encourage all members, leaders, and volunteers to try new things both inside and outside of 4-H. Participate in new events, make new friends, volunteer, market 4-H, and invite a friend to become a 4-H member. You never know how much you will like something until you try it!
Looking forward to seeing you at the next 4-H event!
Yours in 4-H,
Jill Jackson
