Breyer Model Horse Show – Sponsored by, East Coast 4-H Riding Club

WHERE: Carvel Center – Meeting Room 3
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Horse show will begin at 6:30 p.m.
COST: $10.00 per participating 4-H’er. Cloverbuds Free.
NO COST to family members attending
MUST PRE-REGISTER BEFORE FRIDAY, MARCH 27 DUE TO FOOD ARRANGEMENTS.
To sign up, please call Rita Lofland at 856-2585, Ext. 560 before March 27 and leave a message with the name of the 4-H’er and telephone number who will be exhibiting and the total number attending from the family.
4-H’ers are to bring their Model horses to the Carvel Center. Each 4-H’er will be given a table space to set up their models in meeting room 3. There will be no stable decorations this year. Due to limited space, please only bring your models to display. There will be an intermission when desserts and drinks will be served. NO MEAL.
Classes are as follows:
- Quarter Horse
- Paint/Pinto Horse
- Appaloosa Horse
- Foal/Yearling – model must look to be under the age of 2 years
- Pony Breeds
- Draft Breeds
- Thoroughbred/Standardbred Horse
- Mustang/any other breeds
- Stablemate class – only Stablemates
- Any stuffed, plush horse (Beanie baby, etc.)
- Any gray horse or pony
- Arabian/part Arabian
Intermission (Refreshments)
- Paint your own class – only Breyers that you have painted
- Mule, donkey class
- Other, any other Breyer model, may be a cow, pig, deer, dog, etc.
- Liberty class – this class is for a model horse that is running, bucking, rearing or other action model
- English pleasure – saddle & bridle are required on the horse
- Western pleasure – saddle & bridle are required on the horse
- Barrel Racing, cutting or roping—barrel or cow/calf required
- Western trail (shown with obstacle)
- Harness (includes racing)
- Costume
- Mini-Whinnie
- Wind Dancers
- Any seasonal holiday horse
Novice Classes is a 1st year 4-H’er or 1st year participant.

Each model that you bring must have an index card. On one side of the card, put your name and age. On the other side of the card, put the horse name, horse age and breed. This card goes with the horse each time you enter the show ring.
Ribbons will be awarded to first through sixth place entries. There will also be door prizes during the evening. There is a limit of 2 horse entries per exhibitor per class.
Our judge, Ingrid Parker, owner of Rainbow’s End Tack Shop, will be bringing horse gift items and Breyers for families to purchase during the evening. Come for an evening of fun!
