Our meeting took place at Old Paths Church of Christ on December 8, 2014. Our club had a cookie contest. We had nine men from the church willing to judge our clubs cookies. They sure did take it seriously! Our winners were: Festivity- Noah Harrison, Most Unique- Elise Goehringer, Chocolaty-Dakota Carmona, Tasty- Daniel Jefferson, and Most Traditional Christmas Cookie- Destiny Carmona. On our meeting we planned that on December 21st we will be visiting the Lewes Nursing Home. Our club will be sharing with the residents some Christmas cookies, Christmas carols, and some crafts our club made. Also some of our members will be playing some songs at the nursing home. I hope to see you all at the 4-H skating party. Happy Holidays!

4h seaford blue jaysThe Seaford Blue Jay Club members certainly seem very excited about all the activities that 4-H has sponsored as well as activities of their own! On November 15, 2014, Jill Koski attended the International Foods/Talent Show and made Mexican Wedding Cakes for her entry. Then, on November 26, 2014 the club came together and prepared holiday meals.  Each club member provided a traditional Thanksgiving dish and then delivered the dinners to local families. At the annual club Christmas party members created Christmas ornaments using cupcake liners, homemade cinnamon dough and ribbon.  The club also stuffed stockings with all types of dog treats and toys for a local animal shelter so even our furry friends had a treat from Santa. On December 27, 2014, 4-H will be holding their annual State Ice Skate at The Centre Ice Rink, each member must bring a canned good to enter the rink. The club is ready to start the 2015 year off right with success!
