Dear 4-H Family,
February is full of important events: Black History Month, American Heart Month, Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day and President’s Day. It is important to remember and honor those who have had an impact on our Nation and to show our love and appreciation for others.
Sussex 4-H February events include: State Leader’s Forum, Favorite Foods, Foods Judging, and the Photography and Graphic Arts Contest. Special Meetings taking place will be Links Bylaws meeting, Horse Bowl Training, Dairy Club, and Robotics Club.
Our Public Speaking Contest was held on January 24 with a record number of thirty seven participants! This year, we encouraged Cloverbuds to join in the fun and 3 seven year olds took to the stage with great speeches. Many of you have heard about #4HGROWN. This initiative is sponsored by National 4-H and HughesNet to get everyone impacted by 4-H to “check-in” online. All you need to do is give your name, email address, and state. The state with the most people to check-in will receive a $10,000.00 Science Scholarship! A Friendly Reminder – Please be sure to submit your club news to Tammy or myself by the 25th of each month. Include a fun activity, projects completed, and photos of your club in action. We love to see and share what each club is doing! Looking forward to seeing you at the next 4-H event!
