Do you or your family use Facebook, Twitter or Instagram? If so you can really be an important marketing agent for Delaware 4-H and the 4-H program as a whole. Here’s how!
Facebook: Like all four of the official Delaware 4-H pages! There is one for the state and one for each county. We are all one team!

Use @4-H to tag National 4-H. Facebook now uses hashtags.
Facebook pages has undergone significant changes. Whenever possible, help support these pages by three methods: liking the post, commenting on the post and most importantly SHARING the post. The more you can engage with the post, the more people have a chance to see it. Even a simple comment like “Yay!” or “WTG!” is a big, big, help for us.

Reporters, legislators, National 4-H and local 4-H will search social media for hashtags. If you don’t use them, they might not see you! They are the same throughout all the platforms. Note no hyphen between the 4 and the H
#DE4H is general hashtag for Delaware 4-H

#NetDE is hashtag for Delaware
Twitter: We have one account on Twitter. @Delaware4H
Use that handle to tag us directly in your tweet. Otherwise, please use tags in your posts if they help share the positive message of 4-H. Sample Tweet might be:
We are learning about robots at our local #DE4H club. #4H is awesome! (link to a picture) #NetDE
Special events may have special hashtags, for instance #DE4HYAP
Please Retweet positive 4-H messages and photos!
Instagram: Many 4-H’ers are on Instagram. Follow Delaware 4-H at @Delaware4H.Please tag your great 4-H pictures with both #4H (so National 4-H can see) and #DE4H. Please make a note of special event hashtags. We will use the same ones on Instagram as we do on Twitter.
Finally, at the end of each newsletter post online, there are share buttons! Please use them.
The influence of social media is growing each day. By engaging with these 4-H platforms you really help spread the word about our program. Many agencies, media outlets will see your content if you use these tags. It also helps us brag about what you are doing! Thank you!
