2014 4-H Public Speaking Contest
Twenty-three enthusiastic 4-H members competed in the 2014 Sussex County Public Speaking Contest on February 8 at the Elbert N. and Ann V. Carvel Research & Education Center. Speech topics included sports, vacation and personal experiences, 4-H projects, leadership, and role models. It was a fun, informative evening! After the 22 informative speeches, the audience and participants enjoyed refreshments and a Sussex County 4-H slideshow while judges reviewed scores and selected awards for the participants.
