Letter from the 4-H Office

Dear 4-H Member, Leader, and Parent:

Thought we’d try something different  – feature a cover photo on our newsletter!  This will be our photo of the month! We’ve selected two categories:

  • Community Service! Featuring a key component of 4-H membership. We have chosen the first feature image.  In the  future, send us a picture of you or your club engaged in community service. Remember, if there are non-4-H’ers in the picture, please get their permission to use the photo!  Tell us in three to four sentences what the picture was about and how 4-H became involved in providing the community service! For new photos,  remember to wear 4-H apparel!
  • A blast from the past!   Share a memorable 4-H photo from 5, 10, 15 years ago…or, how far back can you go?  Leaders, any pictures of you as young 4-H’ers? It might be time to share! Make us guess who you are or the what the event was!

Send photos to Tammys@udel.edu.  We can instantly scan older photos in the 4-H office.

4-H'ers participate in a community service product
You would think a fashion event would just be about hair, makeup, shoes, accessories, looking good and modeling on stage—but 4-H members know it’s never just about them!
The Clothing and Textile theme made its way to cute fabric bags made of material remnants, and then filled with useful toiletry items and donated to local children living in foster homes! Just look at the smiles that result from “doing for others!” These ladies are all Showcase Champions and Blue Ribbon Winners for giving from the heart!
