Harbor Lightsreported by Aileen Goehringer

Harbor Lights 4-H Club logoThe Harbor Lights 4-H club met on March 25 at 6:30 pm. This month our meeting was devoted to planning are spring production which will be a 1940s UFO show. After some discussion we had a snack including some brownies and strawberry cupcakes. For the Easter holiday, our recreational leader had an Easter egg hunt set up in the building. Everyone had a lot of fun finding the eggs.

The last hour was spent giving out parts for the play and discussing the details of our upcoming theater production. Everyone is getting excited to start rehearsing. This is one of the things we look forward to in 4-H. Make sure you all save the date, our show will be on May 31, at 7 p.m. at Old Paths Church of Christ.

We had an interesting guest with us at the meeting. One of our members brought in a baby goat named Ferdinand. She was taking care of him for a FFA project and we were delighted to welcome our guest.

stateline 4-H clubOn March 3rd, we held our annual Family Dinner and Awards IMAG0172  Program.  Our theme was “Hollywood” in  honor of the Academy Awards.  Each member “won” their yearly membership pins and a gift.  We presented Mrs. Argo with a triple award – “Friend of Stateline 4-H Award, the “Best Person of the Year Award”, and the “Stateline Lifetime Achievement Award.” The group also presented Ms. Pam with a necklace as a going away gift, since this is her last year as the organizational leader.

We are all excited about the State Fair that is coming up!  At the April meeting we made a club craft and propagated plants that will be put into the State Fair. We are currently working on our Diamond Clover award and our state fair     entries. Some of us are planning to do the horse show ads and the horse show ad book cover.
