Small Engine – 4-H Small Compact Tractor Driving

On Monday, April 15, Mike Love will conduct a practice/training session for the 4-H Small Compact Tractor Driving Contest to be conducted at the Delaware State Fair (DSF). The session will meet the training event requirement necessary for 4-H members to compete in the State Fair event. It will be held at the Carvel Research & Education Center west parking lot from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Some guidelines based on the DSF event requirements:

  • Participants must be ages 8 – 19 years old as determined as of January 1 of the current year
  • Participants are encouraged to visit the following national website for more detailed information aboutthe actual 2012 contest event.
  • Appropriate dress is required (even for practice/training): Shirt/t-shirt with sleeves, tucked in for safety. Long pants with belt. Work shoes are required. It is recommended that long hair be pulled up and jewelry is taken off. Gloves are optional. All cell phones must be turned off and put away. Tobacco products are not allowed.
