What makes a photograph good or great? The Sussex County Photography Judging Contest was held on Monday, March 4, 2013. 4-H contestants sharpened their critical thinking skills by being well-acquainted with the comprehensive Photography Judging Guide which helps them prepare questions based on parts of a traditional and digital camera, how to recognize photo quality and composition in images depicting animals, individuals, groups of people, marine subjects, flowers and still life. 4-H members and are expected to evaluate both black and white and color images and senior levels members may be asked to perform photo editing functions on a computer.
