Ready to Wear Fashion Planning 2013

A Ready to Wear activity will be held in conjunction with the county 4-H Fashion Showcase.  The Fashion Planning Contest is directly related to the consumer project.  The 4-H’er analyzes his/her present wardrobe to determine what clothing item or outfit is needed.  They consider budget, likes and dislikes, activities and style.  One purchases an outfit, completes a notebook showing the process of consumerism as related to your wardrobe and your outfit for the Fashion Show.  The 4-H’er fills out an “Intent to Participate” form which is an early registration.

This form is in this newsletter, 4-H office and online.  The notebook is submitted to the 4-H office by April 8.   On April 13, the Fashion Planning participant attends the Fashion Showcase Event held at the Carvel building.  They will have an interview with a judge, model their outfit and practice for the fashion show.  Fashion Planning participants will model in the show along with the  4-H’ers who have constructed garments.  (4-H’ers can enter both contests, if they choose).

Be sure to access the Information on County Ready To Wear Fashion Planning to help you through this process.
