State 4-H Horse Bowl Contest

Four Sussex teams will compete in the State 4-H Horse Bowl Contest on March 9.  The East Coast 4-H Mini Stars (Beginner Division) members are Derek Jones, Sundene Lodge, Ruby Phillips and Layne Smith. Coaches are Jodie Gravenor and Heather Smith. The Bridgeville Mustangs Beginner Team members are Jenna Anger, Gerald Carroll, Tanner LeCates and Paige Taylor.  Coach is Melissa Layton.  The Silver Flies (Junior Division) members are Rebecca Arpie, Katelyn Records, Garrett Smith and Ashley Wilkerson.  Coaches are  Heather Records and Cindy Ockels.  The Senior team, Buckin’ Beauties are Jackie Arpie, Mikayla Ockels, and Whitney Records.  They are coached by Cindy Ockels.  Teams have been busy practicing for the event since January and have designed and made team shirts!   The final practice will be Wednesday March 6 at the Carvel Building.  Good luck in the competition!
