4-H Spring Farm Tour – Green Acres Farm, Lewes

Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 9, 2013

Join 4-H families, volunteers, Cooperative Extension agents and staff, and the Hopkins Family along with approximately 2,000 local students from preschool through grade 2 for this highly anticipated tour of Delaware’s largest dairy farm! This event is open to Sussex County schools and day care centers — preschoolers to grades 2.  Pre-registration through a school or daycare is required.

NEW: To assure the highest safety conditions, there will be new traffic patterns this year!  All buses will enter from eastbound Route 9,  and park in the field where the tractor ride has been located in past years. Registration and check-in will be located adjacent to the new bus parking and is directly opposite the  Milking Room.  We’ve planned a new route for the tractor ride! All other smaller vans and personal vehicles of parents and guests will be asked to park in the large lot off of Dairy Farm Road (traffic light). This is the same location as in past years.
