The University of Delaware has joined 100+ academic institutions in the Fall 2020 National Recreation Movement, sharing a variety of live and/or prerecorded workout classes such as yoga, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), cardio strength options, dance formats, and more. Riddle & Bloom and NIRSA, in collaboration with in collaboration with TikTok and numerous Colleges and Universities, launched the 2020 Recreation Movement in response to COVID-19. This virtual fitness program collects millions of movement minutes from participants, while connecting university students, faculty, staff, and alumni from across the country to offer opportunities for self-care, friendly competition, and a sense of community during these uncertain times.

This movement helps the community of students, alumni, university staff and faculty remain positive, healthy, and active together, even when we’re apart. While focus on physical distance, wearing masks, and hand-washing can prevent the spread of COVID-19, movement and connection are also necessary for mental, physical, and emotional health. The 2020 Recreation Movement is one more tool that you can use to Protect the Flock!
