Welcome to Story Storage!
I’m Landon Kidwell, and this is my personal portfolio for pieces of writing I’ve made. This started off as a project for a school assignment, but spun off into me practicing web design and formatting. While I used WordPress and Divi, I avoided prebuilt themes and tried to make the whole thing from scratch. It was a bit of a weird learning experience (especially since I’m using a free version provided by University of Delaware that heavily restricts my plugins), but I’ve had fun working on it!
In terms of personal projects, I’ve been slowly-but-surely playing through and writing reviews for the Fire Emblem series of games in my spare time, as well as anything else that piques my interest. I’ve also been developing a choose-your-own-adventure style story using the tool Twine, which is currently sitting at around 50,000 words and has ~1/3 of the major routes completed. I don’t have a set release date since my schedule is dependent on free time, but I hope to have it completed by the end of 2023 and have it be ~120,000 words total. Once I’m done editing the main route I do have finalized, a link should be added to the website shortly afterwards.
What’s on here?
The real meat of the website is a bunch of reviews I’ve written since college, all of which can also be found on my Medium page. In addition, I have a few other miscellaneous projects such as artwork and a game guide included. And in case you’re wondering about the website icon on the tab (AKA the full-scale one next to this paragraph), it’s a 3D model I made a while ago. I used it as a placeholder for my email’s profile picture once, and it kind-of stuck.
It’s far from my greatest work, but it’s my work
I don’t know if I’d call it my best piece, but it has stood the test of time
Where to start
Really, this question depends on your own preferences when it comes to reading. Though if you’re just looking for something out-there, then my personal favorite is a review for a bootleg game named Super Fighter M – All Star. It’s a very surreal game, and shockingly impressive for a knock-off designed to cash in on existing properties.

Misc.
There isn’t anything else serious to cover here, I just wanted to show off my dog Jesse. She’s very old and cute. I made an image gallery of her with photos I had on hand, and it’s accessible here.
