EELs

EELs have the responsibility, if they want, of coordinating and leading tutorial on a particular projects in schools. The purpose of these EELs is to utilize talents and benefit other people. For example, if you are really good at piano, you can be a leader of that subject area and teach other students how to play piano. This can be done on campus or off campus. For on campus, it is necessary to reserve a room per week for the particular class. To become an EEL, you need to meet with the president and fill out a form about what project you want to lead, as well as its goals (more for off campus).

In Fall 2013, STEER will begin recruiting EELs (education enrichment leaders) to lead tutorials in academic classes and additional areas of interest on a weekly basis, between 45 to 90 minutes. If you have any questions about this leadership position and the commitment it entails, please contact Andrew.

PLEASE NOTE: Public school faculties cannot be contacted directly to coordinate programming. As stated on the proposal form, it must be filled out and sent to Andrew and our Clinical Advisor, Mrs. Phipps. If a non-public school faculty has been contacted for an interest in STEER programming, Andrew must be informed. No programming can begin until the form has been filled out, and the programming has been approved by Andrew, and if applicable, Mrs. Phipps.
