The Software Analysis and Compilation Lab @ UD consists of faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Delaware. Our research addresses various aspects of program analysis and tools for making software engineers more efficient. Current research projects focus on natural language analysis of software to improve software maintenance tools, conversational search interfaces for software developers, mining software artifacts through machine learning and heuristics to extract information to support software engineers’ tools, and software testing. We also have researchers using software analysis to conduct computer science education research with the goal of supporting the learning of CS by people of all ages and backgrounds. Past project include software engineering aspects of building energy-efficient software, helping software engineers test their applications for the cloud, analysis and optimization of MPI parallel programs for effective communication-computation overlap.
