Back to school season is upon us! The shopping may have begun early, whether due to hot weather, clearance sales, or tax breaks – but there is still plenty to do. The checklist below covers the top to-do items on the minds of the SAPA Board. The checklist also includes a number of where-to/how-to-find items based on questions asked by incoming students. Comment below with anything you think we missed.
Find a place to call home. We have a great housing overview on the SAPA website. For off-campus housing listings, UD’s Housing Assignment Services has a new service called Places4Students.
Get your graduate student parking permit – you can buy your permit online. Returning students: Be prepared for Pearson Lot changes.
No car? Check out UD shuttle routes. Included are UNICITY routes co-operated by the City of Newark (Newark also offers a bike map through this site).
Check out your Student Financial Services statement, available at Student Financial Services via the My Finances link.
If you are new to UD, be sure to get your student ID made at the Student Services Building. If you finished your undergrad at UD recently, the old card will be re-instated and will be back up and running about a week before classes start.
Make sure to set up your student health insurance plan, and get the details on what has changed since last year.
