SAPA Logo Design Contest
SAPA is looking for a new logo and we want you to design it! Get creative, have some fun, and tell us what you think SAPA’s new brand should be. The new logo will be printed on SAPA Merchandise that will be made available for purchase later in the semester.
The designer of the winning logo will receive one free merchandise item of their choice! Designs are being accepted from October 14-24; Voting will take place from October 27-31. You must submit an entry form, which can be accessed by going to this link, with your submission to Jessica Mitchell at mitchj@udel.edu. 2013 Legislative Fellows participate in established partnership
On February 15th and 16th, 2013, The School of Public Policy and Administration will be serving as the Mid-Atlantic Host of the Policy Solution Challenge USA Competition, a national competition among teams of students from U.S. schools of public policy, public affairs and public administration to develop innovative solutions to the most important policy problems facing the country. The topic for the 2013 Challenge is ‘Responses to Childhood Obesity in the U.S.’. On Friday, February 15th, students from each participating team will make an initial presentation in front of judges. Final public presentations, and determination of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, will take place on **Saturday, February 16th. For additional event information, please click here.
**Final presentations will be held on Saturday, February 16th, in the Perkins Student Center, Rodney Room, 325 Academy Street, Newark, Delaware. The day will include a separate briefing on children’s health issues.
The University of Delaware Center for the Study of Diversity has announced a graduate research grant program. The program hopes to award a total of $7,500 in small grants ranging from $250 to $1,500 to UD graduate student projects that facilitate wider understanding of the social and academic impact of diversity. Dr. Aristigueta named Fulbright Specialist
Maria Aristigueta, director of the University of Delaware’s School of Public Policy and Administration, has been named a Fulbright Specialist at the University of Salerno, Italy.
Natasha Nau: London Grove Township Natasha Nau is a second year Master of Public Administration student at the School of Public Policy and Administration. During the Summer of 2012 Natasha interned at the London Grove Township.
