CARS Robotics Seminar – Chuchu Chen

We are excited to announce the revival of the CARS (Center for Autonomous Robotics and Systems) seminar series, organized in collaboration with the RGSO.

This seminar will feature Chuchu Chen, Ph.D. Candidate in the Robot Perception and Navigation Group from the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Chuchu will share insights from her research on robot perception and navigation, focusing on the latest advancements in these fields. This is a unique opportunity to learn about her cutting-edge work, engage in discussions, and network with fellow members of the robotics community. More information about the talk is attached at the end of this email.
We are thrilled to have this talk as part of the junior lecturer track, designed to highlight emerging voices in the field.
We hope you can join us for this seminar and be part of the renewed CARS series!

Please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues who may be interested. We will be providing some light refreshments during the talk, so registration – although not required – will help us organize better.

Coast Day 2024

Date: Sunday, October 6

Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Location: UD Lewes Campus

The Vision 60 quadruped robot by Ghost Robotics

On Sunday, October 6th our members volunteered at the UD Coast Day.

Coast Day is the event for all beach enthusiasts, seafood lovers, and anyone curious about the wonders of the sea organized by the Hugh R. Sharp Campus in Lewes, Delaware. There our members demonstrated the capabilities of our Vision 60 by Ghost Robotics quadruped robot. This particular robot is currently used as a research data collection platform for coastal missions.

Coast Day always highlights how UD scientists, staff, and students are improving understanding of ocean environments and serving coastal communities. Coast Day attendees can interact with researchers, tour ships, try hands-on activities, and attend presentations on a range of topics.

We were very thankful to the organizers and will return next year so stay tuned!! For now our robot says hi!
