Meet the Team
Dr. Alyssa M. Lanzi, CCC-SLP

Dr. Lanzi is an academic speech-language pathologist and Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Delaware. She conducts research in two main areas. First, she is a clinical trial interventionist, who focuses on investigating behavioral treatments of cognitive function in adults at risk for ADRD. She developed the FEMAT as part of her dissertation work at the University of South Florida.
For all questions, inquires, collaborations, and presentation requests please contact Dr. Lanzi,
Dr. Robert Dedrick

Dr. Dedrick is Professor and Program Coordinator for the Educational Measurement and Research Program at the University of South Florida. His research interests include the use of structural equation modeling to examine measurement quality of psychological instruments, the analysis of change using multilevel modeling, and mentoring in doctoral education.
Dr. Michelle Bourgeois, CCC-SLP
FEMAT Expert Panelist and Consultant
Dr. Michelle Bourgeois oversaw the initial development work for the FEMAT. She is an ASHA Fellow and recently retired from her role as PhD Program Director and Professor in the Department of Communication of Sciences and Disorders at the University of South Florida. Dr. Matthew L. Cohen
Dr. Cohen is a clinical neuropsychologist, which means that he is a clinical psychologist who specializes in the assessment of cognition, emotion, and behavior, particularly in the context of neurological conditions. Dr. Cohen specializes in the creation and modification of health questionnaires (also called patient-reported outcomes measures) to benefit adults with cognitive and language disorders.
Anna Saylor, M.S., CCC-SLP
Doctoral Student
Anna is a speech-language pathologist and doctoral student in the Resilient Cognitive Aging Lab at the University of Delaware. Anna was the lead research speech-language pathologist for the development of Version 2.0 of the FEMAT and is now hoping to lead the next stages of validation. Currently, she is interested in pursuing research related to functional assessment and treatment outcomes for people with cognitive communication disorders and their caregivers.
Faith Stagge, M.A., CCC-SLP
