Unlocking Clues to Cognitive Decline Through Storytelling

Join Our Research Study on Language and Memory in Aging

Help us learn more about how memory and language change with age. By participating, you’ll contribute to science—and if you’re interested, we can also share personalized feedback about your memory.

About the Study

Across the United States, we are inviting older adults to tell stories and complete thinking and memory tests with a study team member—all done virtually over the computer. Your story recordings will be stored securely in a password protected database and used to help researchers learn how language and thinking skills change as we age.

We are especially seeking older adults who have noticed changes in their thinking or memory—whether mild or more significant.

– Eugenia D.

“The Zoom process was easy and efficient and really helped with scheduling. I strongly recommend all older adults participate in these studies. There is a lot that I learned personally, and this provides information that researchers use to ultimately benefit us all.”

– Bob W.

“My experience was very positive. Although I will admit I was a bit nervous at the start. However the student conducted herself with the utmost professionalism and thoughtfulness so I could relax. I actually enjoyed the challenge.”
