PROGRAM COSTS

Tuition Costs & Financial Aid Resources

The UD Department of Physical Therapy tuition rate for the 2020-21 academic year, Class of 2022, is $1051/credit hour with typical annual tuition rate increases of about 4%, but subject to change. Due to a College of Health Sciences tuition credit, the DPT student tuition rate is lower than the published University of Delaware graduate tuition rate. Note that upon entry into the DPT program, the credit hour tuition rate will remain constant throughout the period of your study in the DPT program. You may refer to the curriculum to plan costs per semester noting that the number of credits per semester may vary depending on student registration to optional courses, assignment to an Integrated Clinical Experience (ICE), or modification to the curriculum schedule.

Scholarship Opportunities

  • Academic: All students meeting the criteria for admission will be considered for a scholarship package as funds remain available. Eligibility for scholarship funding during the early phase of the admissions cycle is more likely than the later phase. Awards are based upon the undergraduate cumulative GPA, science prerequisite GPA, verbal GRE, quantitative GRE, letters of recommendation, quality of essays, and interview score. Apply early to secure a scholarship, as these awards are contingent upon the availability of funding.
  • Delaware Resident: In-state tuition scholarships typically average $50,000, yet are only guaranteed while funding is available. Residents of Delaware are advised to apply early to secure a scholarship.
  • Diversity: UDPT is highly invested in creating a talented and diverse cohort of students. Diversity scholarships will be awarded throughout the admissions cycle, though higher scholarship packages may be awarded during earlier interview rounds. Typically, these packages are a minimum of $50,000.
