The mission of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is to educate outstanding entry-level physical therapists who provide excellent physical therapy services, integrate scientific inquiry into their clinical practice and have a well-developed sense of professionalism and social responsibility.
UD PHYSICAL THERAPY CLINIC
The Delaware Physical Therapy Clinic is the State’s premier outpatient clinic. Located at the University of Delaware, the clinic provides a unique environment where physical therapists, students, and researchers work together to implement cutting-edge treatment to patients from the University and the surrounding community. We are open to the public!


OUR RESEARCH
The faculty of the Department of Physical Therapy has active research programs funded by both national (e.g.-National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Department of Education) and local (e.g.-University of Delaware Research Foundation, UNIDEL) agencies.
Our faculty are actively engaged in the University’s extensive Undergraduate Research Program and mentor a large number of undergraduates in research throughout the year. During the summer, many of the undergraduate researchers in physical therapy labs are part of the Science and Engineering Research Scholars Program and the Peter White Fellowships.
