UDPT’s Department Chair, Dr. Darcy Reisman, was selected as a Catherine Worthingham Fellow of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)! As the highest honor among APTA membership categories, the Catherine Worthington Fellow is given to Physical Therapists who have dedicated their career to advancing the PT profession. This honor is bestowed amongst clinicians who strive to attain professional excellence and inspire other Physical Therapists to do the same. Dr. Reisman received Masters in Physical Therapy at The College of St. Scholastica and her PhD at the University of Delaware in Biomechanics and Movement Science. Since then, she has contributed to a great deal to the research world contributing to and leading studies focusing on the rehabilitation of patients who have had a stroke and has a great deal of publications in several different Physical Therapy journals. Not only is Dr. Reisman a well established researcher, but she has also contributed to teaching and guiding the next generation of Physical Therapists as a UDPT professor and recently appointed Department Chair!
