As Member-At-Large of the Pride Caucus, John Cogan serves as a voting member of the board and contributes to caucus projects and committees. He arrived at the University of Delaware originally in 2014 as an undergraduate student and graduated in 2018, including participating in the first Lavender Graduation Celebration. John returned in the spring of 2020 as an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor for the Office of Admissions, working to bring in the next generation of UD students. In his free time, he likes to read, hike, cook and bake (especially when he’s trying to procrastinate), travel, and spend time going to Philadelphia with friends, including going to the gayborhood and performing arts venues.

  • TV: How to Get Away with Murder, The Good Place, Parks and Rec, Killing Eve, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Schitt’s Creek, Dead to Me, Nailed It!, Doctor Who, Great British Bake Off
  • Movies: Star Wars, Murder Mystery, Clue, Harry Potter movies, Marvel movies, Mean Girls, Inside Out… I’ll try basically anything that’s not horror

  • Literature: Give me a book and I’ll at least try it. The Devil in the White City, In the Garden of Beasts, The Book Thief, The Great Gatsby, the Harry Potter series, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe just to name a few
  • Podcasts: They’re something I’m told I should try but have not yet fallen in love with
