More about Taria’s experience as a Partner-in-Practice Fellow
“It was a pleasure to work on developing the EquityQTS with university staff, my own former professors, and colleagues! This experience allowed me to strengthen my collaboration skills and share about how I select and use meaningful text in my own English classroom. This was also a great opportunity to encourage professional development amongst my peers and the text used in their classes. It was great to bounce ideas between one another and create a tool that will benefit teachers and students that fosters equitable education practices.”

This FREE resource, co-developed between UD faculty Dr. William Lewis and Dr. Jill Flynn and Delaware educators Taria Pritchett and Casey Montigney, is an excellent resource for teachers in Delaware seeking to teach equity and social justice topics in the ELA classroom through the texts they are already using.
