Recognized species

Three species were recognized in this genus by Wilson 1992, 1997, but one [Yukonodelphax pediforma (Beamer, 1947)] subsequently moved to Elachodelphax by Hamilton (2002: 17).  Yukonodelphax bifurca was added by Bartlett et al. (2014).

Yukonodelphax bifurca (Beamer, 1946) – USA: DE, FL, KS, MO, NC, PA, TN, VA.
= Delphacodes bifurca Beamer, 1946: 143.
= Yukonodelphax bifurca (Beamer, 1946); comb. by Bartlett et al. 2014: 148

Yukonodelphax kendallae Wilson, 1992: 93 – Canada: Alberta, Yukon.

Yukonodelphax stramineosa (Beamer, 1948) – USA: CT, NY; CAN: QC
= Delphacodes stramineosa Beamer, 1948a: 5-6.
= Yukonodelphax stramineosa (Beamer, 1948a); comb. by Wilson 1992: 92.

Plant associations

None.

None in Wilson et al. 1994, Wilson 1992, or (at this time, 5 Aug. 2018) FLOW.

Recognition

Keys to the genus are found in Wilson (1992) and Bartlett et al. (2014).

Pale species, sometimes with a few markings.  Uncommon, mostly northern, with most individuals brachypterous. Terminalia with prominent, widely separated processes on segment X (anal tube) and strongly projecting armature of the diaphragm.
