Genus Thiscia Stål, 1862: 10.

This genus was transferred to Fulgoroidea incertae sedis by Gnezdilov 2012, retained here in Acanaloniidae until it is formally placed in a family.

Type species: Thiscia semicircularis Stål, 1862: 11.

Recognition:

Features from Melichar 1901 (extracted from key to genera)

Vertex strongly ‘bent forward’, 2-4x as long as wide between eyes, the edges carinate; Vertex bluntly lanceolate. Forewing half circle shaped; Vertex flat above. Genae projected in acute angle. Frons smooth and glossy. Pronotum short.
