Donna M. Szewczyk, MSN

School of Nursing

I have been a nurse for 40 years and spent 30 of those years teaching off and on while raising my 5 children.  I have held various positions in addition to academics. These positions include medical-surgical, step-down, telemetry, office and home care, postpartum, gynecologic cancer/surgery, agency and per diem assignments. I am a nurse practitioner with a speciality in obstetric and gynecology. I have been teaching at UD for almost 12 consecutive years. My teaching assignments have included medical-surgical, mother-baby, and preceptorship clinical rotations. In the classroom/on-line, I teach Health Assessment to traditional, accelerated, and RN-BSN students.
