As we say goodbye to December and welcome January, now is the time to look back and reflect upon all that we accomplished last year. This past year saw UD Nursing recognized by its peers for standout contributions by alumni and students, remarkable achievements by our faculty, and our continued service to the Delaware community. Let’s take a look at some highlights!

We were awarded a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education certification by the NLN: we are 1 of only 16 schools in the country to receive this prestigious honor.

UD Nursing faculty and alumni made headlines for their work in sleep, healthcare technology, rural health and legislation.

We introduced a new Master’s in Healthcare Leadership degree program, focused on combining business courses with nursing courses.

Our Nursing Alumni Network honored a new group of Stars.

Dr. Laura Gitlin presented the Mary Carl Lecture at STAR, to discuss transforming care for people with disabilities

Lieutenant Governor Bethany Hall-Long joined us for a conversation on transforming healthcare across the state

We continued to stay at the forefront of the healthcare conversation by offering events focused on patient safety, PTSD, cybersecurity, pain management, and hospitalization

It has truly been a transformative year for UD Nursing, and we are excited for what 2019 will bring. We look forward to additional achievements in research and academia by our faculty, students and alumni as they continue to transform healthcare throughout Delaware and beyond.
