AVIII 600

049 BRL, 831-4534

AVIII 600 MHz NMR spectrometer is equipped with a 5-mm Bruker SMART probe for measuring broadband nuclei with optimized sensitivities in proton measurement.   A hr-MAS probe can be used for semi-solid sample analyses.  A BCU05 unit is online to enhance the stabilities in sample temperature control.

The AVIII600 NMR also has a sample changer (Bruker SampleXpress) which accepts sample submission 24/7.  The day-queue is reserved for a quick turn-around analysis for experiments such as 1H, 13C, and 2D COSY.  The night-queue is for  experiments that require one or more hours of instrument time such as 13C NMR for diluted samples and two-dimensional experiments (HMQC, HSQC, NOESY).

The data acquired on the AVIII600 NMR spectrometer is automatically transfered to an NMR data server.  Three workstation located in 045 BRL are used to access NMR data acquired on AVIII600 NMR.  NMR training on instrument automation, sample loading/unloading, data processing, and magnet laboratory safety is available for CBC  graduate students and for undergraduate students with advisor’s recommandation.

No web-reservation is required for the routine use of this instrument.  To request for the use of the hr-MAS probe, please contact the Director of NMR Facilitates.
