UD Post-Baccalaureate Categorical Certificate in MLS

Categorical certifications are designed for students who have a baccalaureate degree and are interested in employment in a specific clinical laboratory discipline – hematology, blood banking (transfusion services), clinical chemistry, or microbiology.

These certifications are designed for individuals who would like to combine their science background with a career in the growing healthcare professions. The part-time curriculum accommodates those individuals who would like to continue their education without full time commitment. Each categorical track can be completed in as little as 18 months.

Interested students should meet with a departmental faculty member to develop an academic plan. Interested candidates should contact the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at (302) 831-2849 or email at
